If you’ve been visiting my site for a while, you know I usually write about stuff going on in the theater world. However, that’s not the only area of show business I have a vast interest in. With Academy Award nominations set to be announced this Tuesday morning, I thought I’d start a page dedicated to the Oscars.

My first (official) blog will be a scoreboard detailing how all the potential nominees have done with the major precursors. After nominations are announced, I plan to give the backstory behind as many previous Best Picture winners as possible (though I definitely won’t be covering all of them). We shall see how many winners I’ll be able to cover in chronological order, especially given that this year will be the 90th Oscars ceremony.

The way I’m planning to do them will be by starting with the plot synopsis, followed by the how the film itself came to be, and end with its success on Oscar night. And I’ll still be writing about theater stuff here and there throughout the season. Be sure to keep your eyes out on the site for updates!
