The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards are coming up! There’s so much to do in so little time, so I shall now be giving you my predictions for the Limited Series categories.

Outstanding Limited Series:
  1. The White Lotus
  2. Dopesick
  3. The Dropout
  4. Pam & Tommy
  5. Inventing Anna
This race is pretty much down to Dopesick and The White Lotus. They both scored multiple acting nominations from the Television Academy as well as bids for writing and directing. At the Creative Arts Awards last weekend, Dopesick only managed to win Outstanding Cinematography for a Limited Series. Meanwhile, The White Lotus won five awards overall, including the all important prizes for casting and picture editing. I have a feeling that the latter show is gonna be in for a big night on the main telecast.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series/Movie:
  1. Michael Keaton-Dopesick
  2. Sebastian Stan-Pam & Tommy
  3. Colin Firth-The Staircase
  4. Andrew Garfield-Under the Banner of Heaven
  5. Himesh Patel-Station Eleven
  6. Oscar Isaac-Scenes From a Marriage
At the winter awards earlier this year, Michael Keaton managed to win the Golden Globe, SAG, and Critics' Choice Awards for his performance in Dopesick. For a while, he was an early frontrunner to win this prize at the Emmys. Although some people wondered if Colin Firth or Andrew Garfield would give Keaton a run for his money due to both of their respective shows premiering in the spring, thus peaking at just the right time in the season. Yet, both The Staircase and Under the Banner of Heaven really underperformed in Emmy nominations. In fact, the only other contender here whose show is up for Outstanding Limited Series is Sebastian Stan. However, things are looking pretty great for Michael Keaton to prevail here as he has managed to sustain his much buzzed about performance from way back in the fall all the way to now.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series/Movie:
  1. Amanda Seyfried-The Dropout
  2. Lily James-Pam & Tommy
  3. Margaret Qualley-Maid
  4. Julia Garner-Inventing Anna
  5. Toni Collette-The Staircase
  6. Sarah Paulson-Impeachment: American Crime Story
When Maid debuted on Netflix back in the fall, Margaret Qualley was seen as an early frontrunner in this category for her much lauded performance. Yet, the show really underperformed in Emmy nominations, missing out on bids for Outstanding Limited Series as well as other acting categories. Now, this race is likely down to Lily James and Amanda Seyfried. What James has in her favor is that Pam & Tommy overperformed in nominations, and she gives a big, transformative performance as Pamela Anderson. Not to mention that all the hair and makeup she wore made her look so unrecognizable, that a number of people watching the show were probably surprised to learn that it was her the whole time. Meanwhile, what Seyfried has in her favor is that she does give a bit of a transformative performance as Elizabeth Holmes (although not as showy as Lily James playing Pamela Anderson), she's the face of The Dropout, and everyone who has watched it literally sang their praises for her work. While that show did underperform in acting nominations (mainly Naveen Andrews getting snubbed in supporting actor), I'm still leaning more towards Seyfried in this race due to all the buzz she has sustained since its debut back in March.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series/Movie:
  1. Murray Bartlett-The White Lotus
  2. Seth Rogen-Pam & Tommy
  3. Peter Sarsgaard-Dopesick
  4. Michael Stuhlbarg-Dopesick
  5. Will Poulter-Dopesick
  6. Steve Zahn-The White Lotus
  7. Jake Lacy-The White Lotus
There may be three men from The White Lotus in contention here, but Murray Bartlett has gotten the most buzz out of all of them. He's this Australian character actor who many people have started taking notice of with his performance on the show. He plays one of the more prominent characters on it. He won the Critics' Choice earlier this year. I think this is Bartlett's to lose. Although if vote-splitting does happen, watch Seth Rogen take it instead as he is the only contender here who is not up against a co-star. Plus, it helps that he's this comedian taking on a more dramatic role in Pam & Tommy.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series/Movie:
  1. Jennifer Coolidge-The White Lotus
  2. Kaitlyn Dever-Dopesick
  3. Connie Britton-The White Lotus
  4. Alexandra Daddario-The White Lotus
  5. Mare Winningham-Dopesick
  6. Sydney Sweeney-The White Lotus
  7. Natasha Rothwell-The White Lotus
There may be five ladies from The White Lotus in contention here, but Jennifer Coolidge has gotten the most buzz out of all of them. Everyone who's seen the show has really been talking about her performance and character. At the winter awards earlier this year, she won the Critics' Choice and was recognized at both the Golden Globes and SAG. I have a feeling that Coolidge is going to overcome vote-splitting in this category. Though if she doesn't, I'd say look out for Kaitlyn Dever to pull an upset. She may also have a co-star in contention, which would be the well-respected Mare Winningham, but Dever has the more prominent role on Dopesick. She's on every single episode and has quite a few standout moments throughout. Whereas Winningham doesn't get as many opportunities to shine.

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards air on NBC this Monday night at 8:00.
